How To Get Help

Are you tired of going to local agencies in your community to get help with your utility bills and being told that there are no funds available? You can ask friends, family, and the public for help on this website. Going through Utilityassist.org can help you maintain your household bills.

When asking the public for help, your personal identification will not be made public so that you can keep your dignity. When you sign up with us, you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Try us and see!

Utilityassist.org does not guarantee monetary donations or solicit on your behalf.

The instructions below outline how to register your account for assistance.

You must have an email address to register. If not, go to one of the search engines (Yahoo, Google, etc.) and create one.  If you do not have access to the internet, you can call us and we can register you by phone (314-502-9222). You will need to have an email address to check the status of your account.


To begin the online process, click the registration tab below and provide your personal information.


There must be a hardship with the following participating utility companies: Ameren MO, Spire, St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), City of St. Louis Water, American Water, City of St. Louis Trash, Waste Management, City and County Real Estate Taxes. 


Provide the name of the utility company, account number, amount due, and any possible deadlines. Then press submit.


Our personnel will contact the utility company to verify the account and amount. This process could take 3-5 days.


You will receive an email telling you that your hardship has been publicly posted. Within this email, you will receive an identification number to give to family and friends to help you with your utility bills.

To get help, you MUST direct donors to this website to help you with your needs. Utilityassist.org does not guarantee monetary assistance or solicit donors for you.
